Homebuilding in the Wurzer family is something that originated nearly 50 years ago.  Craig Wurzer's grandfather, Ernest set out determined to learn the trade and that's exactly what he did.

And when Craig came along, his true passion for the business became apparent when he was just 2 years old.  He always wanted to play with hammers and to be on the jobsite.  His passion for building stayed with him throughout the years.  He would always pretend he was drawing floor plans, sometimes even pretending he was a grown-up contractor, building homes in his bedroom!  All imaginary, but he never gave up on his dream.

When Craig decided to go on his own after working for his uncle Steve for a couple years, his first thought was to name his business C&E (Craig and Ernine) Wurzer Builders - primarily for sentimental reasons.  After all he wouldn't have had any desire or any passion for the business if it wasn't for his Grandpa!

Since the days when Ernie started, the industry has come a long way, with new tools for basically every aspect of the building process.  Things change so much over time but one value handed down through the years within the family is "An honest job, well done."
